so my step daughter came back from their international convention this weekend wearing jw.org bracelets and pins.

including a pin with a picture of caleb and another cartoon character girl from the jw website.

this makes me so sick.

Singing, dancing, etc at Int. Conv's, pushed by top leadership?

over the past several months, we've seen a flood of youtube video's showing not just the advertising of the cities for the international conventions, but also of the "entertainment" happening at various convention halls and congregations.

examples would be the line-dancing, worldly music, dancing outside the conventions, etc.

many of us who grew up in this ultra-strict, thou-shalt-not cult are left with our jaws on the floor at this seemingly "worldly" display of showy, excessive, mainstream behaviour.. progress is happening.

JW's need/want to talk about something.

my dad died recently and was a long time jw.

we have had some interesting experiences with his passing and have been researching for other jw stories and there are none.

anyone know why?

JW's are told to look for every opportunity to "make a witness".

"Witnessing" at the cemetery is something I participated in with my whole congo , circuit, district, all of America did it, in the 1950's.

I haven't heard of anyone doing it in decades.

I am glad someone took offense and WT preaching, can't be done at this particular cemetery, anymore.

I feel sorry for WT drones. They think they are doing a good work because they are told that, and if they are born in, they have never heard anything else.

I wish all JW's would wake up to WT lies.

it's been quite a while since i lasted posted anything on jwn.

i was in hiding previously, but only because i wanted to avoid the shun gun until i had the opportunity to tell my former congregation what i think about the org./gb.

i last attended a meeting over 2.5 years ago but it wasn't until june--when i earned my bachelor's degree--that i finally had the time to collect my thoughts and get them down on paper...i decided to write my letter in a style i felt would be most appealing to my target audience--jw's still under gb mind control --in the hope that at least a few would read it and actually "think".

Looking at the above airplane photo, WT did not have to put their building square in front of this disabled man's view.

Adding your thoughts on why WT did this, unchristian, un-neighborly, uncharitable, also despicable building right in front, next to his house, blocking the view, NOW makes perfect WT sense!!!

WT is unchristian, uncharitable, and despicable, and devious. (Example 20 or more years ago, the Society®, submitting plans to the correct authorities with blue prints, showing they want to build a 20 story building. The authorities come back and say sorry, you can only build 17 stories (or some such) and the Society® telling us, yay , we got what we wanted. We wanted 17 stories, but if that was what we asked for we knew they would knock it down, so we put it in for 20! Theocratic warfare at it's finest.

-----> So I comprehend now that putting their building square in the disabled man's view, will most likely, cause the man and his wife, to put their cherished home up for sale. NO ONE WILL BUY IT.

-----> WT will legally buy it, at a give away price.

PS Mike&Kim, how are the disabled man and his wife doing? With a building that size, not only is it blocking their view, but also any wind or fresh air, coming from that direction.

From what cultBgone mentioned, do you two think that is a viable probability of what WT wants to see happen? In time, they buy this unhappy and frustrated man's property, at a give away price?
